ON HOLD- Sanctuary, 48 x 72in.

Acrylic on Canvas

72 x 48 inches (182.88 x 121.97 cm)

'Sanctuary' and 'Sheltered' are heavily influenced by Grant Wood’s iconic 'American Gothic'. However, this piece takes a more complex approach, addressing broad themes such as Midwestern values, cultural conservatism, abandonment, and resettlement. The piece invites viewers to interpret its meaning through their own perspectives and experiences.
